About me

Defining oneself in just a few words is never easy, but it’s an incredibly fascinating exercise. It reminds me of Charlie Munger’s suggestion that we should write our own epitaph, not to focus on how we want to be remembered, but as a way to reflect on how we are living our lives.

I’m writing these lines while sitting on a park bench. I’ve always loved benches because they allow you to do two very important things: pause and observe. And that’s one of the things that defines me. I love to observe and learn from everything I see and hear.

My curiosity has led me down many diverse paths. These paths, though varied, share a common thread: using words as tools, creativity as a source of inspiration, and innovation as a playground to create new, different, and better things by thinking unconventionally or, as they say, “thinking outside the box.”

I won’t go into the details of my professional experience here; for that, you can visit the dedicated page. However, I can’t overlook the fact that speaking several languages and having the opportunity to live and work in different countries have been more than just a gift. It has deeply shaped who I am today.

Kaizen, or continuous improvement, is one of the principles that guides both my life and my work.

I find inspiration in learning from others’ experiences, whether through personal interactions or biographies. And this is indeed one of the aspects I enjoy most about my work: having the opportunity to engage with people from different backgrounds and specialties. Whether it’s collaborating with cross-functional teams or brainstorming with a colleague from a different department, I thrive on these interactions. They fuel my curiosity and keep me in a constant state of learning.

I also have a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures, like the smell of the earth after rain, the first time you put on warm clothes after a long, hot summer, or the aroma of onions slowly caramelizing in the pan.

Looking to the future, I’m excited to continue applying these principles to drive innovation and growth. My vision is to develop inclusive and accessible tech products that address real-world challenges and make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, all while embracing continuous learning and improvement.

I’m Marina

I’m a product manager with a curious mind, a creative heart, and a strong interest in building better ways to work and live.

I love simplifying messy problems, connecting the dots across disciplines, and exploring how people think, adapt, and improve.

This site is where I share the lessons I’m learning, the tools I use (or experiment with), and the ideas that keep me thinking. From product strategy to personal finance to continuous improvement, you’ll find a little of everything here.

Thanks for stopping by.
